 Smart Irrigation Month Spotlight: The Toro Company

The Toro Company’s irrigation division took advantage of Smart Irrigation Month as an opportunity to promote water efficient practices, as well as highlight a specific product portfolio. With lines of professional and residential nozzles, sensors and more, Toro aims to provide contractors with products that will improve both new and existing landscapes. Participating in Smart Irrigation Month provided them with an opportunity to educate their customers about how to maximize water savings and efficiency with their products. 

“This wasn’t just a month-long campaign for Toro,” said Director of Marketing Peter Moeller. “We had been highlighting various water-saving technologies all season, but the smart irrigation campaign gave us a reason to do something extra.” July was good timing for Toro because they had established good momentum from the award-winning Precision™ Spray Nozzles and were looking to launch the new Precision™ Rotating Nozzles. As part of their Smart Irrigation Month WaterSmart® Marketing campaign, Toro distributed nearly 10,000 free samples of Precision™ Spray Nozzles as part of a no-risk trial for water-efficient products. The campaign gained traction across the country thanks to publicity on Toro’s web site, business wire buzz and promotions on their Facebook page.
